We mused that there had to be a better way for businesses to understand how their service affected their customer experience and their bottom line. Ever since that time we've been connecting dots to make it easier for businesses to measure, engage and survey customers on-premise by leveraging the power of customers' mobile devices.

Konnect is the fourth company I have launched. Prior to Konnect, I am most known for a couple of significant achievements. The first is creating the patents for the Digital Download of Music and selling them to a well-known company that popularized putting lots of songs in your pocket. The other is the development of an endovascular catheter for the treatment of cancer, receiving FDA clearance, and seeing it used on patients to shrink their tumors.

If you redeemed a mobile coupon at a retail store, it was likely delivered by the company I co-founded that powers leading shopping apps used by millions of consumers everyday. The chances are that the products you purchased using those coupons arrived from overseas by container, two thirds of which are routed using software developed by the company that I helped build to transform global shipping. And if the car you drove to the store was involved in a fender bender along the way, the estimate for repairs was probably generated using the tablet app I designed, used by insurance carriers worldwide.
